About Jessica

Located in North Richmond, NSW, we provide entertainment for a range of events. We travel through the Hawkesbury, Hills district, Blue Mountains, Western Sydney and Beyond.

Jessica loves creating characters to entertain children of all ages! As a child, her belief in fairies began at a young age whilst on bushwalks in the Blue Mountains, where her parents encouraged her imagination. She now loves having a job where she entertains as Fairy Lavender and other magical and adventurous characters, igniting children’s imaginations and helping to make your parties and special occasions magical, memorable and fun!

Jessica has extensive children’s entertainment experience, entertaining at children’s birthday parties and events since 2011 where she began her training with Pixileland Parties based in Newcastle, NSW. Jessica then established Rainbow Children’s Entertainment (based in North Richmond) in 2017 and is grateful to have entertained at over 1,000 parties and events.

Jessica Graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Arts (Acting) from the Regional Institute of Performing Arts – Hunter TAFE. She has experience writing, directing and acting in children’s theatre and theatre in education in Sydney, Newcastle and throughout Italy.

Jessica has toured Italy as a Theatre in Education performer, performing at primary schools and preschools in fairytale pantomimes. During this time, her and her team mates also engaged Italian children in interactive storytelling and game based English language workshops.

Jessica has also worked in the Early Childhood industry both in community based preschools and early childhood centres and holds a Certificate 111 in Early Education and Care 2015 from Nirimba TAFE. This has assisted Jessica to learn skills for inclusive entertainment and an understanding of how to encourage and engage neurodivergent children.

Nick – DJ Nick has extensive experience as a Drummer and DJ. He is awesome at mixing music for kids discos keeping the energy fun and pumping. Jessica and Nick love the opportunity to work together to facilitate your discos with Nick as DJ Nick and Jess as a Dance and Games Facilitator, Disco Diva Jess or another character to suit your theme. DJ Nick and Jessica work closely with parents, childcare educators, P&C members, OOSH educators and event organisers to curate a playlist that includes your child or children’s favourite songs and artists to make your disco unique and personalised.

The entertainers and face painters representing Rainbow Children’s Entertainment are chosen for their energetic, engaging, genuine and gentle interactions with children and families. They come from backgrounds in the following areas – Cheerleading, dancing (ballet, hip hop or Irish), visual arts, early childhood education, primary school teaching, face painting and balloon twisting. We all extend and continually improve our face painting and balloon twisting skills by participating in paid, professional workshops, taught by Australian and International instructors. We develop and practice our skills and acquire new ides through online tutorials as well as participating in Sydney-based networking and skills based jams.

When Jessica isn’t liaising with clients, doing administrative work or entertaining in the business, she loves attending Reformer Pilates classes which she has found have increased her strength and mobility and leave her feeling happy and energised. Jessica and Nick love eating Italian, Maltese, Mauritian Thai and Chinese food. We also enjoy trying Filipino, Indian and other cuisines that you kindly invite us to enjoy with your family and friends after entertaining at your parties and events.

We can’t wait to see your child and their friends and family enjoy the magic, joy and colour that comes with Rainbow Children’s Entertainment. And we look forward to helping your party or event flow smoothly with the quality children’s entertainment we provide.
